Some Serious Jewelery Shopping.

Hello everyone!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday: I had a rather busy day actually! In the morning I went on a college visit to Ashland University which is about 25 minutes from where I live. And oh my goodness...! I think I may have found my college!! It's funny because Ashland is really so close to home and I never thought that I would ever go there because well, I didn't think it was really all that great. I decided to go take a look at it though to just see and I was blown away... Everything about Ashland is what I dreamed in for a college. A major plus is that Ashland is actually one of the leading colleges in Ohio that offer teaching educations, and I am so excited about that. What makes me more excited though is... THEY HAVE FASHION MERCHANDISING! Ep! I've always kind of dreamed of getting a major in Spanish Education and getting a minor in fashion merchandising. I somewhat gave up on my dream because hardly any colleges in Ohio offer fashion merchandising (basically only art colleges offer fashion merchandising, and only two academic colleges do). Well imagine my surprise and happiness when I found out that Ashland was one of the two academic schools that offered it! I swear I was sold on the college from then on.

Also, I did a little shopping with a old friend from school yesterday. No, I personally didn't buy anything because I am flat out broke, haha! It was my absolute pleasure though to help my friend pick out some jewelery and shoes to go with her homecoming dress. I must say the jewelery and shoes we found to go with her dress are just beautiful! I'm so excited to see the whole look put together for homecoming.

Now, speaking of jewelery, you all are probably wondering what the pictures of jewelery above are for. The jewelery above is actually my jewelery for homecoming! So over my blogging hiatus I finally took the time to go out and hunt some jewelery to go with my dress! Now I'm not sure if you all remember because it's been quite a while, but my dress is a cream color with lace on the top and a tulle like material on the bottom. I was thinking that gold would really accent the dress nicely, and I wanted some really beautiful "look at me" statement jewelery because my dresses' silhouette is rather simple. I went out thrifting to see if I would be lucky enough to find anything, and it happened to be that I was quite lucky! I got the beautiful, dangle clip on earrings for only $4! I am so in love with these earrings. Seriously. I knew I wanted ones that dangled and I was incredibly excited when I found these. They make me feel beautiful and just light up my whole face when I wear them!

I couldn't really find any other jewelry to match the earrings while out thrifting, so I had to resort to actually going to a real store to find other jewelery to match. I went to JcPenny's because they have a huge and really great selection of jewelry, so I knew it wouldn't be hard to find something. I ended up finding a gorgeous bracelet and ring to match my earrings exactly! The funny thing was that the bracelet and ring actually were not even by the same brand, but yet all of my jewelery looks like a complete set.

Just finding all of my jewelery makes me even more excited for my homecoming which is in two weeks. I'm still contemplating on how I'm going to do my hair, but I plan on showing you all some pictures and seeing what you think before I finally decide!

I'll see you all tomorrow, and hope everyone is doing great!

With much love, Lauren.

ps. Sounds like an AWESOME college!:) There's a program in Iowa in Ames at Iowa State for fashion that's really good too--I went to a fashion show for it.
