Homecoming Dress Remix.

Cream Lace and Tulle Dress: Modcloth.
Black Blazer: Forever21.
T-Strap Shoes: Target.
Beige 1940's Hat: Thrifted.
Gold earrings, ring, and two necklaces: All Thrifted.

Hello everyone!

So last night I was inducted into the National Honor Society which is just a huge honor! I am so proud of myself! It was a formal occasion, so I really wanted to dress up fancy. I was somewhat stumped on what to wear at first because all of my dressy clothes I wear to school everyday! The only piece of clothing that was a level above my regular school clothes was my homecoming dress. It worked out perfectly because one of my reasons for actually buying this dress in the first place was so that I could re-wear it again after homecoming.

So change it up from the school dance look, I put a black blazer over it which I think it made it look more polished and sophisticated. I got this beige 1940's hat at an estate sale in the summer and actually hadn't worn it before I styled it with this outfit. I was super pleased with my outfit. It gave off the sophisticated and retro vibe that I wanted!

Hope everyone is doing well and see you all tomorrow :)
With much love, Lauren.

I LOVE how you've re-styled your homecoming dress, Lauren! I'm sure you'll get so many more wears out of it. I wish I could say the same for all of my dance dresses, they're all sitting, unworn, in a closet in my parents' home. You look absolutely gorgeous!
Also: I got the giveaway package in the mail yesterday! Thank you so much! I can't wait to wear that beautiful brooch and put that gorgeous clutch to good use :)
Also also: congrats on being inducted into NHS! SO exciting-- give yourself a pat on the back, girl!

First of all congrats on getting in the NHS!
I'm not exactly sure what that is since we don't have it here, but it seems like something important for you so way to go!
Second of all, you look amazing! I think this outfit is one of your best!
:D
I'm still jealous about the snow though :/
