One Day.

It's not too often I do movie reviews. Okay, not even not often, but never! That means the movie had to be super incredible for me to want to do a review on it; and One Day is just that.

As soon as I saw the trailer for One Day in the movie theater I got chills down my spine. I was practically crying just seeing the preview! I remember whispering to Matt, "I'm going to see that no matter what!" I never did get a chance to see the movie in the theater, but when Matt and I went to blockbuster last night to look for a movie to watch: I spotted it. I held that movie with a death grip until we walked out of Blockbuster and it was safely in my hands.

I waited until this afternoon when no one was in the house to watch the movie. I pulled up the couch to my computer and snuggled underneath my favorite blanket for and hour and forty minutes purely incredulous. This movie blew me out of the water.

One Day follows the same day every year, July 15th, of a pair of strangers named Emma and Dexter after they graduate from college. Throughout the years, the two blossom into a friendship, which blossoms into even deeper feelings... The two go through their lives and all of the bumps life throws at them, but always with each other at their side. To say it's an absolutely heart breaking and captivating movie is such an understatement. You all know my obsession with The Notebook...well, I might have a new favorite here. *gasp!*

I pretty much sat on my couch in utter and complete happiness for an hour and forty minutes bawling my eyes out with dried mascara on my cheeks. Yeah, it was that good.

Not only is the movie fantastic, but the clothing is phenomenal. I mean, I liked Anne Hathaway before this movie, but her wardrobe and her acting is absolutely superb in this movie. She reminds me so much of a young Audrey Hepburn. Sigh... after this movie I need to be Anne Hathaway.

So, I'm asking you right now. No, telling you (and I don't command you all to do things often) GO WATCH THIS MOVIE. If not for the sake of watching a beautiful romance story, but at least for the sake of seeing pretty clothes. I mean, romance and pretty clothes...what girl doesn't like that?

With much love, Lauren.

I really wanted to like this movie. I think it just got a little too devastating for me after while. I cried through the whole thing as well, basically. I do agree though Anne Hathaway is an amazing actress and the movie was aesthetically superb as well as a majority of the wardrobe!

I love Anne and I really wanted to see this movie, but I heard the book was better! Maybe I'll read the book, then see the movie? I'm not sure yet. :) Thank you for sharing though, I love when a movie touches me that much!

I read the novel which I enjoyed however was completely taken aback by the ending and was quite devastated. I´m not sure if the film followes it to a T but hopefully I´ll get around to watching it sometime soon. Another one I want to watch is Like Crazy, have you seen it? I have a feeling you´d enjoy it ;).

Ahh I heard mixed reviews about this movie! I wanted to watch it for Jim Sturgess, but after hearing that Anne Hathaway's accent was poorly done, I lost interest.

But I'll take your word for it and try to watch it this break...who knows, maybe it'll be as good as you say!

Thanks for sharing :)

I was really intrigued by the previews for this movie, so it's good to see a positive review about it. When I get a chance I'll definitely watch it!

I agree, from what I've seen Anne Hathway's style does look incredible gorgeous in this movie. I'm glad I read this because based on what I've heard from a few others, I completely wrote this movie off. I really just need to see for myself now that you have peaked my curiosity:)

P.S. Yes! I did get your beautiful email! I'm sorry I haven't replied to it yet; winter break starts on Wednesday for me so then I'll have more time to do the important stuff I've been putting off.

is there nudity in the movie? I wanted to see it when I saw the trailer for it but then I read that there is a lot of sexual content and I'm just not fond of that. I might see it anyway and skip through scenes, but if there are too many then I don't know if I'm interested.
