Hello everyone!
I've been so touched and inspired by soft, romantic, spring pictures as of late. My tumblr is flooded with so many images such as these! I'm just dreaming of long messy hair, laying in a large field, beautiful flowers, soft lighting, and white clothing. Oh, sounds so perfect doesn't it?

My college visit went exceptional today! I toured a college called Capital University in Columbus, and the campus was everything I've been looking for: a feeling of home with a mixture of nostalgia. The campus also had just about the perfect number of students that I like to have: a smaller to medium amount. And you know the best part about it? It's five minutes away from a shopping mall. (Just kidding.... Kind of.)

With much love, Lauren.

Hello everyone!
Well, guess what!? I didn't have to go to school today. No sillies, I did not play hookie. I actually had an excused absence, hehe. At my school, when you get to be a junior you recieve a day to do a job shadow of any job you choose. I called a bunch of fashion related places to see if I could get a fashion merchandising job shadow, but sadly my town is so small and inflexible that all of the places denied me.

So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to look into a job I've always been sort of interested in: ultrasound technician! It was so intriguing to do this job shadow today... I got to see the ultrasound of two twin boys, be with two couples as they found out the sexes of their babies (both were girls!), and unfortunately I did get to see tragedy, as well. One young couple came in for an ultrasound only to find out that they were never actually pregnant and that the baby never formed. It was very sad and not something I'm sure I could ever do.

All in all the job shadow was a success, but I'm pretty sure I won't be an ultrasound technician. I still have a full year to decide what I want to study in college, so I can do plenty more looking around! It does scare me though the thought of deciding what I want to do for the rest of my life at only 17...

Hope you all are doing just wonderful!
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. I'm missing school tomorrow, as well! It's for a college visit that I'll make sure to tell you guys all about :)

Hello everyone!
Here's a few photos from my spring break (which sadly is over).
  • My Easter Basket from my grandma! Full of high fat goodness :)
  • A few of the classics I watched since it rained everyday. Sabrina was my favorite!
  • A DQ ice cream cake adorably decorated that my family devoured...
  • A new beautiful floral maxi dress courtesy of the Easter Bunny.
  • My new obsession: Mint nail polish. And I also bought a silver to match my prom dress!
  • Some books I picked up at the library on 1940's fashion. I would highly recommend both!
  • One day I went to Old Navy and purchased a few summer basic bottoms.
  • Sweet Easter cut out cookies from the local bakery, hehe.

* One of my lovely blog friends, Sandy of My Fair Lady , just did a wonderful interview with me today! It really captures who I am and tells some facts and little quips about me you might not know. If you want to learn a little more about me personally, please go check the interview out, along with Sandy's wonderful blog!*

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Try and bear with me as I'm still tweaking my blog a bit and haven't quite got everything figured out. If you have anymore suggestions though, I'd still love to hear them!

Sometimes a simple thank you never seems like enough to me. Often people get angry at me because when someone does something kind for me, I can't stop thanking them over and over again. Because I can really
never stop being so appreciative for everything I have in my life: especially all of you.

I read all of the comments you posted on my last blog post with tears in my eyes. You all are my inspiration, the people that keep me going and keep me doing what I love. The support and incredible kindness from you all makes me want to give each and every single one of you a hug... a real one.
All of the advice, comments, helpful hints, and suggestions you all gave me was beyond what I expected. You're right, my font was awful to read. You're right, my blog did need a little bit of color. You're right: my pictures do need to be larger. And you're right: I certainly do need to smile more. My blog is far from perfect, but it's much improved and I am much more satisfied with it!
I have the sort of life where I have no one to rely on or have for support. No one to cheer me on, nor pick me up when I fall. But with all of you wonderful followers, I finally have that <3
Thanks ever so much again.
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Sorry I'm such a hot mess in these photos... It was SO windy today and I haven't had a car for days so I had to take the pictures at my house. BOO.

I Need YOUR Help!

Hello there everyone!
I'm sure all of you have felt at one time or another the way I am feeling currently about my blog. I guess you could say disheartened is a good word. It seems as though I have been steadily losing followers for the past few weeks. Sometimes one every day. Perhaps it's nothing at all personal against me, but sometimes I take it that way by nature. The thoughts that come to my mind are, "What could I have done differently to make them stay...? What about my blog turned them off...? Is it just because they don't like me...?"

Sigh. I've been slightly unhappy with my blog for awhile now. I think it's because I am such a perfectionist and don't see perfection in my blog. Sometimes I don't know what I expect though from myself because I'm a seventeen year old girl in high school. Taking my own pictures with a tripod and $80 camera from Wal-Mart. I live in a place so small it's considered a village, and I barely have enough money to even afford thrift store clothes, let alone anything brand new and fashionable. The weather is never nice here: it's either raining or snowing. Not to mention one of my biggest downfalls would have to be technology, which my lack of knowledge of is present in my blog layout.

So often I have this picture in my mind of what I want my blog to be... Whimsical photo shoots in romantic vintage clothing with soft lighting and rounded edges. An extensive and sweetly designed blog layout easy to navigate, yet with cute, unique quirks. Large, high quality photos.
And the list could go on much farther....

I'm here to ask help from all of you. What do you believe I could do better with this blog? Make the layout cleaner? Increase my picture size? Post more content other than just outfits? Any suggestions you have I am open to and I would appreciate more than you can imagine. I cherish each and every one of my followers dearly, and I appreciate every single person that drops by my blog. Your feedback I take into extensive consideration, and every little piece of advice gets me closer to getting my blog where I want it to be.

Thank you ever so much everyone!
With much love, Lauren.

Why hello everyone!
I hope you all had just a lovely Easter today! I know I certainly did... I ate incredibly too much food, chatted with dear family, and of course munched on delicious, high-in-sugar sweets courtesy of the Easter Bunny. I also got a few nifty things from the Easter Bunny that I can't wait to show you all, tehe!

This was my Sunday best I wore for Easter Church this morning, and I took these photos whilist at my aunt's house. My hat made all of the old ladies at church a tad jealous... he.

With much love, Lauren.
