[Insert 4th of July Title Here]

Blue Peter Pan Collar Dress (work as a shirt): Modcloth.
Red Satin Dress (work as a skirt): c/o Lulu's.
White Quilted Bag, Gold Earrings: Thrifted.
Gold Bow Heels: Plato's Closet originally via Charlotte Russe.
Makeup products: c/o Mary Kay.

Hello everyone!
I wish I could say that I wore a pretty red white and blue outfit, had a cook out with my family, and watched fireworks yesterday for the 4th, but sadly I cannot say I did any of those fun things. Instead, I worked all day which was an absolute bummer and something I'm still pretty sad about :( I wish I could have spent a relaxing holiday with my family because soon I won't be seeing them too often, but I suppose this is how 'real life' is for adults.

I'm always one for loving to dress in themes though, so I couldn't not wear red white and blue for pictures. I wore this outfit the day before the 4th, and got a perplexed look from Matt along with him saying, 'you do know the 4th is tomorrow, right?' Oh, that kid.

I'm just a pity party of all sorts today because I work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Blehhhhhhh. Not to mention I'm feeling under the weather and quite mopey. It's a boo hoo Lauren sort of day I suppose.

On a slightly brighter note, I was graciously gifted a few new makeup products to try out courtesy of Mary Kay which I'll be talking about later in a new post! Oh, nothing makes me more giddy than pretty, new, play things...

Hope you all are well,
With much love, Lauren.

Aw, I hope you feel better soon! I like that you wore it the day before. I've always wanted to go trick or treating on October 30th, just to see what happens. Like, will I get candy? Money? Free clothes? Cheese? WHO KNOWS!! It's a mystery.

I love your top and your lipstick is soooo pretty.
Amazing blog, love it to death!

I love to dress in themes as well and would have done the same thing ;) Your outfit is lovely, I especially really like that blouse (or dress..). You must have an insane collection of items with pretty collars! Have you been posting other 4th of July outfits before? If yes, could you link to them? Would love to see :)

oh I love this outfit, you look fabulous! Of course, it may be a bit biased because I love the combination of blue and red but I really enjoy how you've put everything together! :)
