Hello sweet love doves...

Sorry for looking for angry and pouty in these photos. They were taken a few days ago, amidst the worst of my depression and when I was feeling horribly down about everything. You know you're under the weather when not even taking outfit pictures makes you happy. But luckily, I'm slowly getting back to my normal self and I'm looking forward to my doctor's appointment tomorrow. As always, thank you for all of the love and support

Ohhh, what else is happening? I've been gathering quite the collection of dorm things as of late. I move in August 23 and feel so stressed to get everything even though I have plenty of time. I haven't had my room decorated since I was a little girl, so it's incredibly exciting to me to be able to choose everything I want about it. I want it to be perfect. I ordered the most adorable hamper that looks like a washer from Modcloth, as well as, some clouds to stick on my walls. I want to get those little glow in the dark stars to put around the clouds, as well, and I plan on hanging some Christmas lights around my headboard. Sigh, so dreamy! I also picked up the most adorable little owl trashcan and toothbrush holder for the bathroom and plan to go back for the matching bath mat. I received my comforter, sheets, and such today and they're pretty pastels of pink, turquoise, orange, and green. I've been hoarding away some Audrey posters to hang up, too! Can't wait until it's all decorated and I get to show you all :)

With much love, Lauren.

Hey Lauren,
Glad to hear that you are excited about decorating your room! I haven't been able to comment on your most recent posts, but I didn't want you to think that I wasn't keeping you in my prayers. I think your story could really be inspiring for others in similar situations and I am SO glad that you are getting help before starting college. It will only make moving in THAT much better.

Your outfit is adorable as always, it makes your legs look miles long! My favorite picture is definitely the last one as the photographic convention of showing someone's back to indicate a sense of mystery/introspection happens to be one of my favorites!

i hate when outfit photos can't cheer me up - you know it's bad then. i honestly thought it might be a look you were going for. i hope you start feeling less down soon - i know personally it can be really tough to get through times when you just feel totally depressed. it's awful. and i hope you feel better because you are so young, beautiful, and talented. i hate to look back at 18 year old me who spent too much time being sad about things only to realize 25 year old me does the same thing sometimes, so i hope you can do better than me! i'm a happy person, sure, but i get down, and it gets hard. anyhow - good luck!

your outfit is beautiful. the print on this dress is so lovely - the birds almost look like leaves or something and i love that. and all of your pink accessories are just lovely. that bag is adorable. and your little flower ring makes me smile.

What a pretty outfit. I especially love that ring!

I'm really excited to decorate my dorm room this year too! My roomie and I are in a new dorm this year and it is the oldest one on campus; it is so dreamy. All the furniture is darker wood and much more non-dorm style. It is coming up so quickly! Can't wait to see how your room looks. I'm sure that it will be lovely. :)

You look lovely! That dress is so cute, and as always, I love the beret. I somehow missed your last few posts, and I only just now read them. It makes me so sad that you feel this way. I cannot begin to imagine how horrible it feels. We've never met, but your posts are always so beautifully honest that I feel like I really know you. You are so beautiful, Lauren, inside and out, and I'm so very glad to hear that you've decided to get help. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers, and I wish you the best of luck!

Your room sounds like it will be so cute. It's really important to have a comfy room with things that will make you feel happy when you look at them. It helps with being away from home to have a room you love!

I think you look lovely in these photos not angry at all! Also it is so fun to gather all the stuff to go to college. I did that last year at the start of my freshman year and I loved it. Now that I have most of the stuff, it probably wont be as fun. But I am still excited to buy some cute new things!

Hi Lauren,

I want to share with you something that worked for me. Get yourself a copy of the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. There are tons of copies for under $5 used online anywhere.

READ IT- daily and over and over again. I keep a copy on my desk and when I feel negative, open it up to any random page and re-read it.

The basic message is this:
Let go of negative limiting thoughts that have no real foundation other than the power you give them. Dicipline and devote yourself to positive thoughts, actions and state of mind and you will attract and bring joyful positive things to your life because you get what you radiate. Refuse to be negative, never allow yourself a negative thought- rethink all to positive and you will in fact, achieve magnificence and happiness.

It sounds simple and it actually is, but requires belief in yourself and a will to just stop thinking anything negative. The book will guide you through the entire journey.

Good luck Lauren- let us know if you get it and find it helpful.

I look at this post and think your sathcel and my satchel. They are alike!

I got really excited for a moment about how similar our pink satchels are. Also, you are wearing a beret. And I also love berets. I actually mentioned you in my last-but-one blog post when I got a new hat.

I think you look great here. Hope you enjoy finding those little bits. Whenever I move I always take my Playmobil figures with me. It's really important to have something of yourself to make the place feel like you.

I really like that ring- it looks like it could be by Marc Jacobs because it looks like the flower on the 'So...daisy' scent! You look pretty! All your room stuff sounds wonderfully cute! Yay, can I see it?!?!x

You look so pretty. This post makes me miss my berets. It's just too hot to wear wool/felt on my head right now so they'll have to wait until fall! I love your floral mary janes paired with the little socks in this outfit too.
