Remix #15.

Remixed Item: Chiffon Maxi Skirt, thrifted.

Hello, hello pretty ladies!
I wish I could get more into the habit of doing remix posts because I love looking back on my past outfits to get inspiration for ones right now. I'm always taking and posting pictures of my new outfits though so I never have time to focus on the old ones!

Anyways, I've been wearing this pretty, nude maxi skirt like crazy lately and thought it was time to do a remix post on it. I thrifted it actually for the Goodwill Style Fashion Show back in May for one of my models and it turns out it worked for me, as well. It was a super lucky find because it was actually brand new American Apparel with the tags still on!

Through snow and rain, heat and cold I've styled up this skirt with neutrals, brights, and florals and I'm not even close to being done yet. Looking forward to making more outfits with this beautiful baby this school year!

On a more personal note, I just got back to Kent from a short weekend spent at home. It's always so wonderful to see my family, my kitty, and of course my beloved room. I do have to admit though I never want to stay too long because truthfully it just makes me too sad. So many memories and ghosts everywhere I turn of... well, you know. It just hurts too much to be surrounded by it all so it's nice to come back to Kent and resume my exciting, new life free of melancholy reminders.

Talk to you all soon and hope you had a swell weekend ♥
With much love, Lauren.

I've loved that skirt from the very beginning, Lauren! You've styled it so beautifully. I have to admit, I'm super excited for Winter to come for your guys, the snow looks really magical in your photos.
I hope one day I stumble upon an American Apparel item, brand new with tags, hehe :)
xx Maria
P.S: I'm glad things are going well for you at Kent.

So glad you are enjoying Kent! Personally I don't think it is a good idea to go back home at the start of uni/college. I knew someone who went back every week and they dropped out and for other people it just took them longer to settle. I think it is good to immerse yourself and make the new place home for a while. Just my 2 cents. (Also when I went to uni it was an expensive 7 hour train ride away so I only came back at Christmas and Summer and loved my uni to bits).

Also, I love how different your stylings for this skirt are. My favourite has to be the one with the lacey top and the beret. Gorgeous!
