Plum Cranberries.

Plum Lace Dress, Trench Coat: Forever21.
Purple Beret: Target.
Black Booties: Thrifted.

Hello, hello ♥

So today was a pretty swell day! Things have just been going well in general lately though I guess you could say. I think one of the reasons that makes my days better is actually having friends and socializing. I've never been so social in my entire life before coming to college. It doesn't come without a lot of effort though. At the beginning of college I just thought that I would automatically make all of these friends, but it certainly doesn't work like that. It takes time, commitment, and care. And getting out of your shell, too.

Tomorrow I'm excited to try out yoga for the first time with a new friend; nervous definitely, as well! Erm, going to embarrassingly admit that I do not have a single pair of yoga pants- ha, that shows what kind of person I am! NAVS is also tomorrow night which I always look forward to, and I just have little meet ups with friends throughout the week to keep my busy and preoccupied. Then in two weekends I'm going away from Friday to Sunday for my first ever conference with NAVS to Indiana! So, so excited. I've never been on a retreat before and I'm really looking forward to it :D

On another note, I took these photos really late this evening because after my classes I came home and slept off a neck ache and then had dinner + study session with a friend. It was around 7 and I really liked this outfit and wanted pictures, but was afraid it was going to be too dark. Turns out the lighting was just perfect and soft and really brought out the changing fall colors- I love these photos!

Hope you all are doing wonderful  ♥

With much love, Lauren.

This is such a pretty combination, Lauren! Red and plum are two of my favorites. And that lace dress is stunning!

I think it's perfectly acceptable for a college girl NOT to own yoga pants - though they are incredibly comfortable! They are all the girls on my campus wear. I feel overdressed even wearing jeans sometimes! So glad to hear you're enjoying yourself. Beautiful photos!

Your lace dress is just so lovely. I think lace is my favorite fabric, even though I don't have very much of it in my closet. This color is gorgeous on you too! Brings out all the loveliness in your skin :) Glad to hear you've gotten into some college activities! Now that I've graduated I miss those little moments with new friends!

I still don't really have any friends here. It is very, very difficult.
And...where in Indiana are you going? I'm at Indiana University. If you're in the area I'd love to get to know you and maybe paint your nails for you. =D
