January Florals.

Black Peter Pan Collar Top, Lace Skirt, Bow Belt: Forever21.
Grey Cardigan: Kohl's.
Black Beret: Target.
Loafers: Thrifted.
Tights: Yikes, I don't know!

Why hello!
January, I am sorry to say, but I am not sad to see you go. Especially after the bitter cold you brought today! Gosh, these pictures were taken in about a total of three minutes and then I couldn't feel my poor hands to hit the button anymore. Then later on when I went to class this evening snow started pouring out of the sky like I've never seen...it was magical. It snowed so hard that I couldn't even see in front of me and by the time I got to my class my whole beret was covered in a good inch of fluff. Look at this photo proof right here!

In other, boring, run-of-the-mill news I am feeling much better thankfully. Today is the best I've felt health wise in a week so I'm awfully thankful for that. To top off my good mood my one class for tomorrow was cancelled so I have a three day weekend ahead of me. Life is sweet folks

Hope you all are doing well and can't wait to see you soon in FEBRUARY! (One of my favorite months).

With much love, Lauren.

Wednesday, At A Cafe.

Well hello there and long time no see!

I came down with quite the sickness after I got back from Nashville and haven't left my bed except to go to classes the past few days. Thankfully I am on the mend so things are always looking up

These are the last pictures I have from my Nashville trip on a lovely day of exploring with Hannah. I had done some research before hand on coffee shops in Nashville and was looking for one to try out. My search came up with a place called Fido on 21st Avenue. The atmosphere of the coffee shop was a dream; mood lighting, warm brown tones, and tables made from re purposed metal. I thought the place would be a bit more underground (my favorite type of coffee shop), but it was very, very busy with people. I have an affinity for cafe mochas and get them everywhere I go, so naturally I had to try one here, too!

I was...disappointed, sadly. Cafe mochas are usually very sweet and chocolately, but this one at Fido was very bitter and strong. It surprised me a lot. It took me awhile to get used to the taste and after a few, okay about five sugar packets I was good to go. Not to say that others might not like the coffee here. It was just a different taste than I was expecting.

Hannah and I also hit up some local boutiques called Posh and Festivities that were quite out of my budget but still loads of fun to browse. Festivities reminded me of a brick and morter Modcloth!

We also stopped by the vintage sweets and sodas shop, Diana's, for a proper meal and it was fantastic. For dessert we were treated to two treats: a larger than life mint chocolate chip milkshake and a hot fudge sundae. The perfect way to end a pretty sweet trip if I do say so myself

I hope that I continue to get better and can hopefully get some outfit pictures in this week! Until then, take care beautiful readers :)

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Yesterday I hit 800 followers! Yowza, that is insane... That's the size of my high school. And if I think about everyone from my high school reading my blog that's super scary, ha ;) So blessed and thankful for each and every single one of you! x

Rose Lace Dress: contest win from Fleet Collection.
Forrest Green Cardigan, Gold Cameo: Thrifted.
T-Strap Heels: Plato's Closet.
Pearl Bracelet: Gift from my friend Sabrina (@LimKaiShin)

Hello!

It's been a tiring past few days. I was in Nashville, Cincinnati, Mansfield, and now back in Kent. It's hard for me to feel like any place is home at the moment! I am very content though to be back at college and get settled in permanently for a long time. My weary, sickly body can't take much more moving around.

These outfit pictures were taken on the beautiful Vanderbilt campus in the heart of Nashville. It's the third most expensive college in The States and you can certainly tell with the rich architecture and well groomed campus. Hannah and I just had to stop by on this awfully frigid day and snap some photos of our fancy get ups we wore to dinner that night. I also have snapshots from this day where we did a bit of shopping, a coffee run, and ate at the vintage sweet shop again. I might post those tomorrow and they'll be the last of my Nashville photos!

Tomorrow is my busiest school day (from 9 in the morning until 9 at night; four classes) so wish me luck! I'm going to treat myself to a venti at Starbucks to get me through this cold, long day ahead of me!

Hope all is well with you beautiful people :)

With much love, Lauren.

Busy Streets.

Striped Shirt: Forever21.
Houndstooth Skirt, Black Loafers: Thrifted.
Black Beret: Target.
Knee Socks: H&M.
Black Flats: c/o Lulu*s.

Hello there.

I'm currently back from my Nashville trip and in Ohio; my hometown actually. I'll be going back to Kent tomorrow! I'm feeling very under the weather though and sick. Very sad, too for various reasons. I'm nervous to go back to school this week after missing four days and having so much work to catch up on. Just somewhat upset.

These pictures were from our third day in Nashville though. I've still got about two more posts to do from Nashville so stay with me! I'm also very behind on emails and such so I apologize if you've emailed me and not gotten a response back. I will quite soon.

I hope I feel better soon. Physically and emotionally.

With much love, Lauren.

Night Life & Sweet Shops.

Hello everyone!
Here is quite a few snapshots from our third day in Nashville. During the day we went on a tour of celebrity homes around Nashville and got to see the residences of Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, Dolly Parton, Reese Witherspoon, Kid Rock, the Kings of Leon, and many others.

During the evening was the real adventure though. We went down to Broadway Street and explored the neon lit up fronts of Nashville's best Honky Tonk District (at first I thought this was some sort of derogatory name, but it really is what it's called). Hannah and I actually stumbled upon an American Apparel which thrilled me to pieces since I've never been to one. Just as magical (and expensive) as I imagined it to be. I did come away though with a red bow for my hair. I couldn't resist!

Another little gem we found was a vintage sweets shop called Diana's. It was an old fashioned ice cream parlor that was half candy store and half eatery. I marveled at all of the rainbow colored retro candies and was giddy with excitement over the beautiful decor. Wooden booths, floral tapestry wall linings, aged mirrors, and soft mood lit lamps adoring overhead. Heaven, heaven, heaven. Hannah got a milk shake and I got an old fashion coke in a bottle! Coke from the tap just doesn't compare.

We ventured further down Broadway to another sweet shop that had the most candy I've ever seen in my entire life. Walls and walls of it. I picked up a sucker with a real scorpion inside of it for my little sister...she will absolutely love it (trust me).

A lovely day it certainty was. I'll have proper outfit pictures from this day up soon! x

With much love, Lauren.
