Wednesday, At A Cafe.

Well hello there and long time no see!

I came down with quite the sickness after I got back from Nashville and haven't left my bed except to go to classes the past few days. Thankfully I am on the mend so things are always looking up

These are the last pictures I have from my Nashville trip on a lovely day of exploring with Hannah. I had done some research before hand on coffee shops in Nashville and was looking for one to try out. My search came up with a place called Fido on 21st Avenue. The atmosphere of the coffee shop was a dream; mood lighting, warm brown tones, and tables made from re purposed metal. I thought the place would be a bit more underground (my favorite type of coffee shop), but it was very, very busy with people. I have an affinity for cafe mochas and get them everywhere I go, so naturally I had to try one here, too!

I was...disappointed, sadly. Cafe mochas are usually very sweet and chocolately, but this one at Fido was very bitter and strong. It surprised me a lot. It took me awhile to get used to the taste and after a few, okay about five sugar packets I was good to go. Not to say that others might not like the coffee here. It was just a different taste than I was expecting.

Hannah and I also hit up some local boutiques called Posh and Festivities that were quite out of my budget but still loads of fun to browse. Festivities reminded me of a brick and morter Modcloth!

We also stopped by the vintage sweets and sodas shop, Diana's, for a proper meal and it was fantastic. For dessert we were treated to two treats: a larger than life mint chocolate chip milkshake and a hot fudge sundae. The perfect way to end a pretty sweet trip if I do say so myself

I hope that I continue to get better and can hopefully get some outfit pictures in this week! Until then, take care beautiful readers :)

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Yesterday I hit 800 followers! Yowza, that is insane... That's the size of my high school. And if I think about everyone from my high school reading my blog that's super scary, ha ;) So blessed and thankful for each and every single one of you! x

Awe, I love the little latte hearts! I wish I knew how to do those at Starbucks but sadly that has not been a part of my training yet. :P

Lauren, u have my heart: researching a coffee place to visit before you leave!!! & you worded it so eloquently about how it all turned out so different ... sigh. If you ever go to the Jersey Shore area, give me a shout - do I have the coffee shop for you :) Hope u r soon on the mend (coming down w/ something explains ur jangled nerves at the end of the trip, methinks)!

Looks like you had a lovely time! You've definitely inspired me to explore around where I live more - there are sooo many towns around mine that feature cute, indie businesses but I virtually never go to any of them! This needs to end!

Also, your hair looks lovely. <3

I love the vibe that was captured in these photos. Even without faces or landmarks, they tell a big story about your trip!

Sorry to hear you're sick. It's winter, what are you gonna do?! Hope it lets up quickly!

Congrats on hitting 800 followers! That is definitely a huge number. You're a wonderful person and create great content - you deserve every single one of them! :)

L,
from the pictures of your drink I saw, it looks like your espresso was expired. espresso can only sit like three seconds before the sweetness sinks and the shot is expired and bitter. :(
