Spring Wishlist.

So, I'm taking a computer technology class this semester and have been learning the ins and outs of Photoshop. Which makes me super excited, of course, because now I understand how bloggers compile wishlists (I wasn't smart enough to figure it out, heh)! I thought I'd take a little time to experiment and do one myself of some beautiful items I've been gazing at from afar. There's reasons each one can't come home with me whether it be out of stock, sold internationally, or far too expensive. No matter though- a girl can surely dream

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

With much love, Lauren.

Yay, adventures in Photoshop! I'm still working it out along with InDesign and Illustrator, which I am much newer to. Your wishlist is a candy colored dream for spring. And lipstick is an essential, right? I can eat Nutella toast for dinner if I've got some sweet lipstick on...maybe that's messed up.

Um, not to be blunt, but why didn't you just use polyvore?

Anonymous,

I've tried out Polyvore before and didn't particularly like it! I just found it limiting in what you can do. I just thought since I learned how to properly use photoshop, that I'd try my hand in experimenting with it!

I agree with you about Polyvore, Lauren. It's fine for basic things, but I agree that it can be limiting, and it's a pain when you have to specifically use their "clip to polyvore" to get an image on there that they don't have in their database, rather than just uploading/dragging an image quickly from your computer. I LOVE this wishlist though! I've been eyeing that swimsuit from ModCloth (the price is a little off-putting, but even more is the warning that it runs small...) and I am dying to hear a review from someone about it. I also love the same swimsuit in the drum print. And I've been looking at those same bows from Crown and Glory! I'm going crazy for eyeshadow palates lately, also... there is one from Sephora (it's a Cinderella themed one) that I think I'm getting in my Easter basket... :) oh boy this is a long comment... but I just love all of these things!!

I just use Polyvore to create mine: it's marvelous!

Aaaand, then I read the comments before mine after posting my own. Doi!
Polyvore, once you really get to know it, is a little more free than at first, it's true. And if I could effectively use photoshop I would never utilize the site at all, so you're probably correct. :)

I prefer to make collages in Photoshop too!

I have to say Crown and Glory is wonderful - I decided three bows from Sophie as a gift and they were so beautifully made! Will definitely be purchasing some things from there sometime soon!

And I really hope you are able to track down some of the Betty lipstick - I wanted it too ;_;
