Senior Fashion Show.

Hello everyone!
I had a super lovely weekend attending the annual senior design fashion show with my friend Haley! I am so insanely proud to go to the third best fashion school in the United States and one of the top ten in the world. As seniors, design students get to create a small collection and work all year long on it and the best are chosen to present at a final fashion show. Senior merchandise students help put the show together and choreograph the models. The models themselves have to go through a one credit class the whole semester learning walking, posing, and other various aspects so it's a very serious honor. Just seeing this production this weekend made me feel more inspired than ever and sure that I'm continuing on the right path with the right major. The students at my school are so talented and I'm honored to be apart of this program!

My friend Jordi and roommate for next year was actually one of the models (see the above picture, second to the left!) and it was wonderful to get to see her. I'd have to say my favorite of the designers was either the 1970's free spirit collection with lots of white dresses, crochet, and floral embroidery, or the photo realistic 60's inspired collection with the high waisted polka dot pants. Want.those.now.

If any of you are considering majoring in fashion you should consider Kent State! It's a great liberal arts school that isn't as expensive as art school, and you get a true college experience. Feel free to email me if any of you are considering!

Hope you all had a beautiful weekend ♥

With much love, Lauren.

Castle In The Air.

Denim Top, Cameo Necklace: Thrifted.
Red Cardigan: Old Navy.
Red Hair Bow: American Apparel.
90's Floral Shorts: c/o Castle in the Air vintage.
Tea Cup ring: c/o Castle in the Air vintage.

Hello everyone!
I usually take my outfit pictures in the same, secluded spot but have really been wanting to branch out to more of the campus. There's too many beautiful trees and flowers to serve as backdrops! I seemed to be quite a spectacle though as people stopped every few minutes to inquire what I was doing, if I needed help, and even to take a picture of me for their own personal use (?). And then a huge group of my friends saw me, so there's that for embarrassment. Oh well though, I'm thrilled with how these turned out and I went out of my comfort zone again today!

So these shorts and ring are from a lovely vintage store called Castle In the Air run by a lady named Brae who is in college like myself! She has all sorts of beautiful vintage pieces from the 50's-90's for wonderful prices. I had to try out these 90's Bongo shorts because I've been on a shorts kick lately ♥

Hope you all are having a beautiful weekend! I filmed a little impromptu video today that I'll put up soon so stay tuned for that. x

With much love, Lauren.

Hello everyone!
I had the perfect day adventuring the downtown Kent park with one of my best friends, Erin. The day was absolutely ideal and sunny with a little bit of breeze. She's such a doll and got us iced coffee and brownies for our walk down (which is about twenty five minutes). I haven't visited the park since last October when the leaves had fallen, and the place has absolutely transformed into breathtaking beauty. It's one of those spots you just automatically feel content and at peace next to the rushing river and shade of the trees. It's probably one of my favorite parts about Kent and I can't wait to take my future boyfriend/husband there and sit for hours talking. But Erin is perfect for that, too

She's a superb photographer and snapped a lot of photos of me along the way and I liked too many not to put most of them on here. She's camera shy so next time I'll have to be the one snapping away at her! I just have felt an overwhelming sense of love and belonging from my friends here lately. I cherish them all so much and have been spending every moment I can with them before we all go our seperate ways for the summer. It's strange to me to sometimes actually be treated right by my friends because looking back, I never have. I've always been taken advantage of, used, and given the short end of the stick. To have ladies and guys that love me and are always there for me has been the biggest blessing yet here at college. I am going to miss them emensely this summer.

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. I'm silly most of the time when in good company, obviously :)
