Hello everyone!

So pleased that we're now into March! This year has flown by and I'm thrilled that I only have two and a half more months until I graduate! It can't come any sooner, ha.

I put this outfit together yesterday and it was one of those you think looks really great, but then looking at the photos after I wasn't too pleased. These circle skirts used to be a STAPLE in my wardrobe over the last few years at college (see here, here, and here) . I had them in multiple colors and would wear them multiple times a week.  I'm not sure if my style has evolved too much or if hindsight really is 20/20, but these skirts just don't appeal to me any more. The largest part of my body is my hips, and the short length and swingy shape of these skirts seem to just accentuate their size even more.

Maybe even the problem is I've been more insecure about my body than usual lately, too. It comes and goes in phases, like I'm sure it does for most of you all, too. I've been bathing suit shopping for a few weeks now for my family vacation coming up and it just has me really down about my body. Which I shouldn't be at 22! Argh, being a woman is so discouraging sometimes. I ordered one last suit from ASOS the other night and if this doesn't work, I'm just totally giving up. My confidence has just been shot down and I'm tired of putting so much time into something so silly.

What do you guys think about bathing suit shopping? Is it something you enjoy, or dread? I'd love to hear your tips for making it as painless as possible below! x

With much love, Lauren.

Bathing suit shopping is always a struggle for me! I've just found one style that works and stick to it because I don't like the way I put myself down when something doesn't work.

I understand how you feel about the circle skirts - I've got bigger hips too and I had many times where I thought EVERYTHING accentuated them. But honestly, your circle skirts look cute on you and I personally think they accentuate your tiny waist!!!!

I too have gone through many phases of not being confident in my body - to the point where I thought covering it up was necessary. I think the most important thing for me was to insist that I have great features. And everyday when I looked in the mirror I chose one thing I loved and repeated it to myself. It made me think more positively about myself and being happy in my body became a habit, and then became my normal :).

Just remember it's just a phase! You are beautiful and your confidence will return. Sometimes we just have down times and that's okay!

Love you and your blog!!!
