Hello everyone!
I had quite the eventful and rather scary Monday morning... I was involved in a six car accident on my way to school! Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Just on the road before I pulled into my school parking lot, I was jolted harshly in my car without any notice and the first thought in my mind was, "Oh my goodness, I just got hit!" I pulled over to a near driveway to get the insurance card of the person who hit me, only to see when I got out of my car that there were five other cars pulled over with blinking lights!
I quickly ran over to the nearest car to ask what had happened and she didn't really know either. It wasn't until the police arrived at the scene a few minutes later and did a lot of questioning did the confusing story unfold. The 'fifth' car hit the car in front of it causing a chain of events, but then a 'sixth' car came up behind the fifth one and hit it, then causing a whole other chain of dominoes with the cars. Luckily, I was car number 'one' so I was the last car to get hit and suffered the least damage of all of the cars. The police didn't even end up taking pictures of my car or even giving me an insurance card because there was nothing but a barely visible scratch. I seriously got out lucky! My bug is such a trooper.
Car number 'six' and car number 'five' were both charged and it really stinks because they are both fellow classmates of mine and under 18. No one was hurt too bad, but I do have to say I have a mighty case of a sore neck from whiplash!
I am just so thankful that the accident wasn't worse than it was and that all six of us got out safely... The whole experience this morning was so scary because I have never been in a car accident before, and it was so surreal that I was actually citing an accident report to police officers. I'm very thankful to God for watching out for me and always keeping me safe ❤
With much love, Lauren.
