Never Say Never.

Olive Green Blouse, Floral Skirt, Tan Wedges, Satchel: Thrifted.
Navy Blazer: H&M.
Pins: My mom's earrings I stole ;)

Hello everyone

So it's safe to say this blog has been a pretty somber place the past few days. It's not anything I wanted, intended, or brought on. I write what I feel and I write what I feel are important happenings in my life. That being said, I feel better that all of what I wrote the past few days is off my chest, not clouding my mind. I can't really say I feel any better about the whole situation, but I feel better saying what I needed to say and recording it. I hope these next few days can just go smoothly and then soon I'll be off to college...where I'll have many more woes to write about ;) Just kidding. I hope I get to write about all the wonderful things that WILL and ARE going to happen.

In other not so good news, I contracted a terrible case of poison ivy and man is it the pits. I've got a rash all over and spent most of yesterday and part of today with different stinky lotions all over my body...I did decide to get dressed and prettied up to run a few errands, and it's finally getting cool enough to do a little layering here. Good thing because I think I could scare off all of my town with these ivy infested, swollen arms, haha.

Anywho, I've got a ton of different posts I'm working on this week keeping me busy and hopefully will be ready to post as I move in later this week. So, so excited!

Hope you all are well (and don't have poison ivy).
With much love, Lauren.

I don't have poison ivy, but I do have strep throat. Haha, hope we both get better! At any rate, I love these layers. So pretty! And I adore your new blog banner, as well.

Oh I do hope you get better! And if its any consolation for your sad case of poison ivy, you can't tell from the beautiful photographs! I love this outfit. It looks so grownup and businessy!

Lauren I have been reading your posts while I have been on vacation and I am so sorry for all you have been going through lately. It makes me sad for you. I have been through something similar and it will get better. Going off to college will make it a lot easier. I can't wait to see what your post/ outfits are like while in college. Lots to look forward too! You are a beautiful woman and I am sorry you have poison ivy. :(

I love this outfit! You look simply lovely as usual!
It reminds me of a very similar outfit I posted a while back with a similar floral skirt and a dark blue blazer. So glad that it is almost fall and I can wear blazers again!

Hope that your poison goes away soon! Go jump in a pool - the chlorine really helps to dry it up. My brother is super allergic to poison so many times growing up we would have to spend a day or two at my aunt's who had the pool!

Enjoy the rest of your summer. :)

xoxo,

oh my gosh I think this is one of my most favorite outfits of yours! You are seriously gorgeous. You're making the rest of us look bad, heehee. ;)

I know I promised to write an email, but I'm just too busy with packing, so I'll make a super quick comment here. I know it absolutely sucks with depression and a break up and being cheated on. I've been there, done that, bought the tshirt and wore it out. And even now I've been feeling pretty down having to wait for college to start (you're probably feeling the same way, since we start on the same day whoop!). Like, I'm just ready for the wait to be over already! But, and I'm sure a billion people have told you this, it does get better and depression and bad relationships make you stronger. Looking back, I don't think I would have changed anything (even taking him back after he cheated on me--which was the dumbest idea ever, but I digress). It's made me a much better person and I've been able to help other people going through similar things. So I know it stinks right now, but it does get better. And your life is about to completely change with college, so it's probably a good thing that these bad things have been happening right before, ya know? You're gonna have a blast in college. :) I'm suuper duper excited for you and I'm excited we get to go "together," haha.

And you know I'm always here to talk. Maybe I could get skype or something too. He there's a thought! Okay, I've already written too much, haha. (Time to go back to packing!) Love you girl. You're beautiful.

This is one of your best outfits yet, Lauren! I love how sophisticated it is. I hope your new photo posts have lots of those collages in them. I love the way they display your work.

You look stunning, and so well put together!

Sorry about the poison ivy, I experienced my first battle with that beast earlier in the summer, not a fun time at all!

I'm truly sorry you've had to go through all that crap. And poison ivy? ahhh! I know how that feels, back in April I had it-blah.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. I love your jacket! you look so pretty.

Aw sorry about that poison ivy! It'll get better soon though, I'm sure! You look so perfectly classy and adorable in this outfit. It's such a great one for transitioning to cooler weather. I'm really loving your blazer with the elbow patches.

Ouch! Poison ivy is NOT fun. Every time I've gotten it was because my beloved big brothers told me while hiking, "let's just cut through here..I swear.. it's not poison ivy!!" You'd think I'd learn to not trust them anymore after that happening like 3 times. :-) Anyhow, hope you get well SOON!

I absolutely ADORE your outfit.. I like that it has the blazer which is so IN right now but it is worn in a completely unique and beautifully way. :-) You have such great style Lauren!

I hope your poison ivy has cleared up, poor you!

Love this outfit, you look gorgeous and sophisticated.

I have a little satchel just like that! It was my mum's many years ago, and I saved it from the rubbish!
