It's not too often that I get to travel but when I do, boy do I surely love it. I left on Thursday evening via mega bus from Cleveland to Pittsburgh, PA to visit Pennsylvania for the first time. Silly considering it's a boarder state of Ohio and so close! One of my best friends from college, Erin, is lucky enough to live in Pitt and an $8 bus trip to see her was too good to pass up.
Pittsburgh is unbelievably beautiful. As a city it sparkles along the river and is actually the city with the most bridges here in the USA. I was so surprised at how hilly it was because Ohio is dreadfully flat, so it made for such picturesque photos. We explored the south side on Friday and did some shopping which I visited an UO for the first time! I snuck away from Forever21 with a few goodies; namely a pair of pants (!) for just $7.80. We then went to downtown amongst the buildings and ate at Noodle and Co. which was incredible. My favorite part of the day was going to the point where the three rivers meet and there's a spectacular fountain on the edge of the bay. I got to see one of the most breathtaking sunsets ever and it was just so calming to be there with someone I've missed so much in the past two and a half months.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier that morning we got to see the Modcloth HQ! Very, very cool. It was just as cute as I imagined and although we didn't get to go inside, it was fun to see my favorite store actually in person. Maybe someday I'll get to go inside! x
Day two of Pitt I'll post soon! They are my favorite pictures ever, ever. Also, thank you Erin for taking these pictures for me! She was my talented photographer back in Kent for a few times and it was good to have her back ♥
With much love, Lauren.
