One of my favorite things about living at Kent for nine months out of the year is the awesome blogging community here in North East Ohio. I don't know a single blogger down by where my home town is, but during the school year there's an awesome group of ladies up here I get the pleasure of hanging out with.
Jessica of Midwest Muse lives scary close to me and it's always been so much fun to go and hang out in the last 2+ years I've known her. She picked me up on campus and we ventured into her town of Akron for an adventure filled day. First off? Thrift shopping with the added surprise it was 50% off day. I've got to admit, I've never seen something so scary--and I thought the half off day at my VOA was bad. Some lady tried grabbing something out of my hand? That actually happened.
We took some pictures in a cool alley way and I got to use Jessica's boyfriend's beautiful Mark II. Practically starving, we went to The Lockview for dinner and had gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. I couldn't even lie about something that perfect. To top the day off we were feeling adventurous and attempted to try some ice cream, ice, custard, gelato place? I'm still not quite sure what we got to eat but hey, at least we tried.
It's always so much fun hanging out with Jessica, and I'm excited to see her again soon on Tuesday for an event in Cleveland we were both invited to!
