The gorgeous ladies Amanda and Katie of Junebugs and Georgia Peaches nominated me for a fun blog award called the Liebster blog award where I answer some questions they gave me + pass on some of my own questions to other ladies! Perhaps you'll find out something you didn't know about me ♥
1. What is your favourite non-fashion related hobby?
A lot of my main hobbies relate to fashion (and this one somewhat does), but probably writing. Nothing serious, but I just love to journal and write things when I have free time. I collect journals and love to fill them up with all sorts of thoughts, feelings, and happenings.
2. If you had a super power, what would it be?
Ohhh, probably to be able to breath underwater! I was a swimmer for 13 years and so I love water and always did wish that I could stay under it forever. There's just something so calming and magical about being beneath the surface.
3. What is your favourite place that you have ever visited?
I haven't visited many places, but I would have to say China! I was only 11 when I went so I can't remember everything, but just being immersed in a completely different culture was fascinating.
4. What is your favourite thing about yourself?
My kind heart. I just love to love people and make them happy, make their day. I am sensitive and emotional, but I love it when I can use those traits about myself to be in-tune with others.
5. Do you have any pets? If yes, what are they?
I had one pet kitty named Rascal for 18 years, but he recently passed away this past November :( I love cats so much and can't wait until I move out of the dorms and can get a little companion for myself!
6. What is your favourite makeup product?
No surprise here, but LIPSTICK. I love it so much. It's just so much fun to have different shades and match them with my moods and outfits. They're so pretty to look at and collect. I loved coloring as a child, and applying lipstick is sort of like coloring...so perhaps that's the reason why!
7. Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?
Erm, I guess so? I have this weird thing where I can bend my fingers all the way backwards so they look almost broken. It's creepy, weird, and completely useless ha.
8. What is your favourite piece of clothing?
This is always the toughest question. I would have to say though the Lavender crochet dress that I wore for my feature in Seventeen Magazine. It's absolutely stunning and I loved it from the start...and then when it was my featured picture for Seventeen it made me love and cherish it even more. I don't really wear it because it's really delicate and I want to keep it in good condition for years to come, but I do display it on my wall in my dorm room to always be reminded :)
9. If you could go back in time and attend a party (think Cinderella), whose party would it be?
It's not as far back as Cinderella's time, but I would kill to go the after party of the 1954 Oscars to see Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. I can only imagine the fashion...
10. If you could erase one fashion faux-pas from your teenage years, what would it be?
Ha, well I just got out of my teenage years not too long ago, so a lot of it doesn't seem bad now...but honestly I wouldn't erase anything because every step and mistake was a part of developing my personal style as it is today.
11. Favourite book or author?
The Bible!
